It's a whopping 49 strands of stainless steel cable that is twisted and encased in plastic and therefore, stretchy-proof, rust-proof, shred resistant, and as supple as a stainless steel cable can be. Its diameter is perfect for seed beads, crystals, glass, and gemstones from 6mm to 12mm, and we've been using it for years in bracelets, necklaces and now mask leashes!
10 ft. is a great amount to start with, as you can loosely estimate about 1 ft. for a bracelet or mask leash, and 2 ft. on average for a necklace. And if you ever are in need of a thicker cable, just double it up!
